Thanks man, Slowly but surely. We have a couple afternoons of buttoning up loose ends, the we will be waiting on powder. I think we may be painting the whole truck now, instead of just the front clip...so this project may be dragging on a little longer than originally planned lol

It looks like it coming along nicely. Have you tired using a fin comb on that condenser?

Not yet. It’s pretty trashed, but we have talked about it.

Got the battery all mounted up and finished running wires. Cut the key on and we have power, so that’s a plus lol. Hopefully we will get everything back from powder in a couple days so that we can try to start it up for the first time in a year and a half

I also made up these brackets to mount the ABS and TIPM. They will get the job done, but they are just temporary. I’m going to use these as a template to make a nicer looking bracket setup Click the image to open in full size.

Finally it looks like we have made progress... we are pretty much done in the engine bay...gotta grab a couple more clamps, a new air filter, button up a couple of damaged hoses, and the engine bay will be wrapped up (for now)

Not sure if I had mentioned before it is a stainless diesel manifold that we are going to cerakote when time permits. Also, that’s a 72/87 .90 charger. Not sure whose it is, or if it’s just a box charger. The whole kit was purchased used.

We got it fired up today on the first hit, for the first time in over 2 years. That was a HUGE sigh of relief lol.

And then the shot that gives me more motivation...a little before/after ... we are so excited to hear this thing run and see some added color in the engine bay. Hopefully it will hit the track in about a month!

Oh I almost forgot, can anyone tell me what this vacuum hose is for, or goes to? It runs along the firewall to the passenger side. I’ve seen some trucks have a vacuum pump there, but this one doesn’t have anything to connect it to. Is it just a vent?

I think that vacuum line is for your cruise control. My time with a 3rd gen was short, so I could be wrong.

Took a few minutes to get the fleece shock tower delete plates, bilstein 5100s, and new coils in... baby steps, but they are in the right direction

Got my rollers thrown on... getting ready to load it up and take it to my buddy at Dunrite Fab to get shock mounts and a fuel cell mount welded up this weekend I stuck the front bumper cover up there just so it would resemble a truck again...
