Fuel Shut Off

I am needing to add a fuel shut off before my injection pump. I was wondering if the bypass on the AirDog II can handle being dead headed, or will I need to spend the extra coin on a 3 way dump valve? This would only be used for an emergency shut down.

Id go with the dump. It seems most sanctioning bodies are going this route instead of a shutoff. Might as well prepare for what might happen in the future and not have to change it later.

Do the 3 way dump valve. Some where along the line you will need it anyways.

It can be dead headed without any issues. However as already stated the 3 way valve is the ideal set up and the safest. Most rules are changing in that direction anyway.

Ok, it's on my drag truck. I don't think NHRA has any rules about needing a dump valve vs fuel shutoff.

No I don't think they do either but it would be nice to be ahead of the curve should they decide to implement the rule in certain classes.
