Well...... So far we have Stuckey Racing as the top qualifier at 10.3? Jeff Garmon ran his qualifing pass as 1/8 mile and then ran an "illegal" pass with the drugs at 10.6?. (too light weight to run the drugs "legally") . Ts Performance has had some bugs to work out today (running high 11's) and Buck Spruill ran low 11's. Darren Morrison broke on his first pass and we have been working our butts off all day to fix him for tommorow. (head gasket). When he broke, he bent 2 push tubes and we were very concerned about where we would find some today. Then, out of the blue some guys from the KYTDR walked up and said they had an old broke 12V on their farn we could get them out of. They lived about 30 miles away so we went and got them and were able to get him back together. Is that luck or what? So, we will see what tommorow will bring. It is going to be interesting!!!

Keating ran his pro mod as an exibition pass against a Tenn "Beat the Heat" police drag car. He ran a 9.09 @ 151mph. Awesome looking run!!!

This is an awesome facility in a beautiful valley. Great view going down the track.

Amy

Patience, patience, patience!! It was truely a fun event. As David said we had a lot to go down including large amounts of beer. As for Sundays events and results here goes. We arrived at the track Sat a.m. and made sure we had everything back together in Darrens truck. He made a test pass and it was again, not good . He bent the push tubes again he thinks. Whatever it was, he was done for sure now and loaded the truck and went home. We now had Buck Spruill, Jeff Garmon, Phillip Palmer (Stuckey Racing), and Kevin Merideth (TS Performance) for our semi finals. Jeff ran Buck and won. I wish I could give you the ET's but I truely don't remember. Stuckey racing ran TS Performance for the win. They were able to back up the previous 10.3? pass beating it by 1/100 and setting the new DHRA ET and MPH record. The bad news was when they came back to the pits they were leaking tranny fluid. Turns out the transmission tail housing had cracked. At this point we knew that Jeff would be declared the winner. Since this event was being taped for television The Stuckeys brought the truck to the staging lanes and made a launch. Jeff, just to be on the safe side, made a full normal pass and took the win. Ya think if Jeff would have not launched hard and made a normal pass the opponients would have kept on running? Racing is racing and anything is possible. Jeff's truck ran great all weekend without one glitch. Unfortunately, everyone else was not as lucky. It was still a fun an exciting event and we give props to the Stuckeys for setting those records!!

We were dissapointed that we did not get to race in this one. Our truck has a blown head gasket and we had no time to get it ready. But we will be there in Bowling Green and we'll be coming on strong!! It is definately going to be interesting to see what happens in Bowling Green. I'm sure we will have a lot of excitement!!

Congrats to Jeff for the win. He deserves it. And remember, Jeff was running slow on fuel only this weekend. He is too light for the drugs. But it goes to show that he is the master of reliability. We are proud to be a part of the Garmons racing team!!!

Good job to everybody and we can't wait to do it again in Bowling Green!!

Amy

One more thing, Keating ran again Sunday and made some 8.?? passes. That is an awesome looking machine!!

I have a race re-cap and full length video up on my site. The re-cap will give you the times and comments from each team, and the video will give you front row seat to the entire weekends action. It's 21 min long (no commercials ) and 123 MB. The link is at the end of my comments.
