Compound set up

I currently have a 12 valve with a 62mm phat shaft and s480. I want to go bigger and instead of selling the turbos, might just throw them on the 6.7. Anyone have an idea how a 6.7 would tow with that? If I follow through with it, I will probably get 100 horse nozzles or so.

Also the 6.7 currently has fire ringed head and studs. Only thing done to the motor besides deletes.

It will probably tow excellent with it. One of the concerns with a quick spooling setup like that has been rods but with tuning and not driving like you stole it you should be ok. Whats the specs on the 62?

I'm not sure on the specs. When I bought it the owner did not know the specs. I believe the 80 is a 1.1 due to how quick spool up is.

I run the 62/80 as a single. Tbittner is correct, it'll be all about the tuning. I had a ridiculous low stall converter and my 62 even being as small as it is took what I thought was forever to light. If it were me I'd go with a 64 mm with the 480. I am waiting for my trans and converter to get back from revmax now with the new stock stall. Frank did tell me that it should make a huge difference.

Also if you're going for power and judging by the big turbo you are, you'll be selling yourself short with little 100 hp nozzles. I'm sure you know but having them flow tested is the way to go.

You'll want to have 625 headstuds if it doesnt. Given the Oring head it probably does
