Trans Ideas

Ok guys new to this Forum. I have a 1999 Ford F250 that i just recently swapped a 2009 6.7CR I bolted a 47RH behind it for a while to see how it held up... and well long story short. front planets are wiped out. I am running a smarty ssr. as well as some other goodies. I don't wanna go to an electronic trans. what are my options besides a 6speed.

And because i know everyone is gonna say.. Hey that's a 5.9 valve cover. which is correct. the reason for that is because i didn't wanna plug off all of the emissions crap on the 6.7 lol

Nice truck. I love my Goerend built 47re. Do your homework first. Some of the more "mainstream" shops seem to have lost quality. You can find threads on here about it. Good luck.

Good looking truck and clean swap, where you located? I only ask because Lavon, (LAMiller on here), owner of Firepunk Diesel builds some really nice transmissions.

Why not stick some money in the 47RH? You likely wiped out the stupid aluminum front planetary that even the little gas 318s can grenade... Just get the steel six pinion units from a 48RE put in there and you'll be golden. Of course you'll still likely need a few billet parts, but that would be required on any other trans you install.

Nothing wrong with the 47RH. I run one behind the 6.7 in my first gen at a decent power level and it holds great. Nothing will hold up stock though. Another vote for Goerend, but there are other places.

Decent being 1200hp, so the OP can put it into perspective.
