Cant seem to make the teuck shift properly. (47re)

The issue I'm having is I can be in 3rd gear with in 500ish ft and I'm only at 1000-1200rpm. Once in a blue moon I'll be in 3rd gear and it shifts into 4th then back to 3rd

Under moderate to heavy accleration it's perfect. It doesn't quick shift. It still goes into od arround 45-50.

I checked the tp but to me it seems off. At idle I had 0.76v I loosened the bolts and moved it a little and I got 0.82 out of it. All data says at idle it should be 1v +-.2. Wot 2.2-2.9 but mine wot is reading 3.23v to the mat but I'm only see I g 78% throttle.

I disconnected the output speed sensor it prolonged the 1-2 shift one time then when back to shifting like crap.

What am I missing? Is the tv cable stretched? I also tried to zip tie the tv lever at the trans ( not all the way) but 1/4 of the way thinking I'd I crease pressure but it made it worse. All data says to adjust the throttle rod by the tp sensor. The forums say not to because you may loose wot. I was never able to turn anything over 3300 under load but I think My gov springs need to have one more click.

Gov desired psi and actual psi are spot on. Gov sensor koeo is 0.64 I don't know if that correct or not. The only code I had was a p0743 and a p1743 ( I have a lock up switch )

Can I slot the tp sensor like a vp44? Or replace it

I got rid of my tranny fluid temp sensor with a 1k ohm resistor, did the radio shack pot switch - 5k ohm, and a new brake light switch. My truck shifts nice and consistent now.

Ya know come to think of it. The brake lights say on for about 1-1.5 seconds after taking my foot off the break. I though that only effects the tc lock up?

What is the pit switch? And you did away with the temp sensor? In the valve body?

Brake switch only effects lockup

Tranny fluid temp sensor I pretty sure keeps you out of overdrive and lock up. Mine was in 3rd and not in lockup when it was around zero degrees outside. This would last for several miles until the Tranny temp made it up to 90*.

The pot is a cheap alternative to a new tps. I'll probably buy a new tps soon so I don't have to adjust it for driving mellow or flooring it.

Mine is a 95 so the fluid temp sensor is different.

The TV cable is adjustable. It sounds like it's really loose. Correct way to adjust it is to hold the throttle linkage at full throttle then pull the TV cable tight. You may want a second set of hands to get this done.
