Turning a Super b special into sxe?

Any experts know if it is feasible to modify my special into an sxe, or is it better to just bite the bullet and buy a new one? Building a twin set and would like to take advantage of the sxe platform.

Are you just wanting to use an SXE compressor wheel?...

I doubt an SXE wheel is any better than the aftermarket wheels.

Talk to North American Turbo about putting a billet wheel in it, see if it'd be cost worthy.

Yeah we can fit an aftermarket billet wheel and overhaul it for much less than a new sx-e.

Thanks for the reference!

Also, the new SXE wheel isn't magic, it's a billet version of the factory cast wheel. The SXE magic came from the updated compressor cover and factory standard 360 thrust bearing. A fit and balanced aftermarket rebuild would be better for your situation if you don't want to swing the cash for a new SX-E and any piping changes that would come from it.
