Intake/Cfm

I got thinking a single cold air intake for example my air filter flows 1056 Cfm and by Internet specs on a hx52 flows approximately 1050 Cfm. So a slightly dirty filter will kill performance right? So I see how it would be restrictive at WOT so would like a Y pipe with twin filters be the optimal? With the restrictive would cause excess heat? Am I wrong anyone's input would be helpful.

Your HX52 will run that under 100% ideal conditions. I doubt you would ever actually see it, but if you re worried about it, yes, two air filters could help. There are probably more inefficiencies worth worrying about before that though.

If you truly have a 600cc pump, you should not be worrying about stupid things like air filter.

Again, if you truly have a 600cc pump, you should have a general idea what you should be worried about...and it isn't 6 cfm on a filter.

If you're worried about it, just don't run a filter at the track.
