CRT billet valve bodies
I just made this today *1-13-18 a billet reverse manual valve body ( no trans brake ) for the 46 47 48 REs & RHs The shift pattern is
P R 1 2 3 4 no Neutral. will only start in Park. Filling with fluid will take two people, one to hold foot on brake when in gear, the other to fill trans. With or with out lock up on a switch.
Tell me what you think of no neutral.
If you must have neutral, my trans brake is the same but reverse & neutral share a detente P RN 1 2 3 4 but trans brake to back up.
Thanks for your feed back John Cope

So it doesn’t circulate in Park?
I think the second option is better.

What do you gain by having no neutral? I'd probably try filling the trans by myself by putting it in gear for a bit, add some fluid, go put it in gear again, etc. assuming it's not pumping in park.

I came out with this vb cause some wanted to shift 1234 on the shifter but not want the trans brake . So this is a alternative.

Does o.d. lock instantly when shifted to 4? Also, what do you think pricing will be and availability?

Yes All shifts are instant no delay. Available now. I am working on price. I can say 100s cheaper than my billet trans brake.

Love it. Doing great things John. What are the line pressure capabilities? Are adjustments made the same?

I understand it can lock in any gear. I've spoke to John a few times and the one thing that's selling me on his vb is the o.d. lockup is instant. No 1sec delay off the switch like most that are on a switch.

I can go to 250 psi but I keep it at 195-220 psi to keep the bellview spring from failure

Thanks John. I have a “Billet” Belleville spring going into my trans right now as it’s all apart for a refresh and more upgrades. I was running 200psi line pressure and plan for 225psi this time around.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying they are Billet either. They are just a thicker stamped spring steel. Advertised 30% larger @ .090”(mine measured .093) over the factory .069” spring, and rated for 250psi line pressure iirc.
