Fuel pressure question

I have a 06 f350 6.0, all stock fuel system with the BB mod and brand new filters. I'm running the sct 120 horse performance tune from the sf3. Fuel pressure at idle is right around 57-60psi. Under spirited acceleration fuel pressure drops to around 47-50psi but generally sustains 50psi no problem. Something strange I've noticed is under wide open throttle acceleration(pedal to the floor) I experience drastic pressure spike during shifts. Fuel pressure will drop down to around 25-30 psi then quickly rise back up to 50. I'm puzzled to why this happens. Can any one explain? Is this normal? Good/Bad thing?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

It is part of the computer strategy to save the transmission.

You need to get rid of the BB mod and just throw an AirDog II on that bad boy. You won't drop pressure at all anymore.

Sweet looking truck BTW! Got any more pics?

I read somewhere about the trans strategy for defueling in between shifts, just wasn't sure. And yeah the Fuel system mods will come eventually.

Torque management doesn't touch the pump. It alters percent of fuel mass desired. Pump just pumps.

The pressure falls off since the pump can't keep up with the volume needed by the engine.
