Well, it sounds like you need to pull a few leaves out of the rear springs and add some traction bars.

How much pressure did you end up running in the rear slicks?

traction bars are sitting in the house waiting to be put on so I just need to find time to pull 2 leafs out and slap the bars on. I ended up running 9psi cold. Never checked it hotbut I would guess it was around 12psi or so. Tire wear showed that I didn't have enough air as it was wearing on the outsides of the tires and not much in the center. I was running consistant 12.1xx 1/4 mile times so I didn't want to adjust and end up breaking out.

Not a thing actually. Maybe the scale I was on is off but I didn't do anything special at all. It has a spray in bed liner, factory seats and center console, power windows, all the factory glass. Maybe that dually axle of yours is really that heavy.

I think the Dana 80 weighs about 200 lbs more plus the hubs are heavier and you have extra wheels. And isn't the frame heavier?

Another update!!!

Removed the overload leaf, center leaf and installed CalTracs! Doing all that dropped the rear a good 3 inches.

Picked up some 2wd 1500 front coils from the salvage yard for $25 each and installed those as well. That dropped the front about 2.5 inches. (2500 coils on left, 1500 coils on right)

Before the suspension work!

This is how it sits now after the suspension work!

no I'm running 2 leafs. Factory it had a pack of 3 leafs and an overload. I removed the overload and the center leaf in the pack. I thought about running one leaf but it looked pretty flimzy and I would be affraid of breaking it.

It carries the air from the turbo to the intercooler.

NHRDA finally posted pics from the NW Nationals race in Spokane, WA. I stole this one to show how bad of traction i was getting at the track. Picture was taken right after i passed the 1/8 mile sensor. As you can see the slicks are tall, narrow, spinning and the truck is slightly sideways. It was like this all day. I was running consistant 12.1xx for most of the day. As you have seen i finished the suspension mods to help fix the traction issues. hopefully it helps!

Have you taken it out on the street with street tires to see how well it hooks up?

I'm curious if you have traction problems with street tires at higher speeds like 70-80 MPH?
