Injector pop preasure?
Wondering what the symptoms would be if a set of 24V injectors set for p-pump pressure, were installed in a VP truck? I don't know the full history of my injectors, traded smaller ones for these with a guy I worked with, he wanted smaller, said they came from a pulling truck, supposed to be 150hp shied injectors. They are 6 hole, not sure the size though. Just seem kinda hot a "dirty", very hazy idle.

6 hole tend to haze at idle and be dirtier vs. a 7 hole. Did you pin the nozzle orifice?

By pin do you mean measure it? If so no, I don't have anything to do that with. My truck definitely seems to run ok, feels strong, picked up about 5psi boost with these, but it seems like the egt's just keep getting hotter for the average. I'm thinking it's mostly something with the turbo, but got to wondering about the injectors.

Pin gauges are cheap and would give you an idea of potential. The other factor would be cone angle for smoke/haze.

6 holes are dirty but tend to make a little more power. Checking pop pressure isn't a bad idea though. So glad I finally bought the stuff to do my own

What would you charge to check mine if I pulled them? Would have to be a while yet, still need the truck regularly for at least a few more weeks.

You can use thin fishing line and an accurate caliper to measure injector hole size. See which piece of fishing line fits in the orifice snuggly and then measure the diameter of the fishing line with a caliper. Cheap and easy way to get a good idea of what you have.
