Alright guys I bought a used 188/220 Hamilton cast cam off a good friend along with the bigger tappets and my question is will it work in my 99 24v p-pump swap? Haven't swapped the truck yet but I was going to when I had it tore apart. I've heard some people say it won't and some say it will, also from what I can see the 24v already has a big tappet so do I need the switch? Thanks guys!
 
My understanding is that the cam are the same except for the fuel pump love on the 12v cam. And you can't re-use old lifters on the new cam.

I machined the fuel pump lobe off my 188/220 cam when I installed it. With the bigger tappets it just looked like they would hit the lobe for the fuel pump.
 
I have the lifters that came with the cam. The original lifters that were bought new when the cam was purchased, can I use them?
