Kinda what I was thinking. Removing line and flipping switch would prove if air comes out but it seems he has tried that as I already suggested.

Scrap or local salvage yard. paid $4200.00 for the truck weighs 13,000lb
The truck and all the international stuff one or both transmission eaton rt8609 and T8607B both direct drive
Probably be sold as core, no clue with the dt466

What is the reason your swapping everything over to the fl60. Assuming fl70 is a bigger truck, I don't know? Is it for the cab only

Best way i can explain it..
Big is not always better
The analogy would be 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" ratchets..
1/4" being 3500 and smaller
3/8 being medium duty class 4-6
1/2" being heavy duty class 7/8 trucks
Now any one that has turned wrenched knows the whole set overlaps.. while most have suggested get a full blown semi.. that's like hauling a 1/2" ratchet all the time for everything else.. can it be done sure, is it efficient... Yes and no 1/2" on a 1/4" stuff is actually slower than a 1/4" on 1/4" stuff.. due to moving the heft of the 1/2 ratchet all the time..
I have been running with a beefed up 1/4" ratchet, and the FL60 I'm building is basically a beefed up 3/8" ratchet.
The 8.3 is basically one of smallest engines one can get in a class 7 truck.. now a day smallest is. 10-11L engine with 300-350hp all the way to full tilt 600hp 15L
The FL60 is a class 6 truck. Im putting class 7/8 engine trans in it.
So why not class 7/8 axles as well? They are substantually bigger, the fl70 has a RS-23(23k) axle which has a 19" ring gear vs the FL60 has a RS-15 (15k)with a 13" ring gear..
Bigger components take more HP to turn.. simple physics
I'm setting truck up to be able to reliably drag up to a 30-40,000lb trailer.
While I could gain mpg with a smaller transmission The RTLO 13 gives me more options for cruising speeds and engine RPM pending load weight wind drag and terrian. which will allow me to keep the engine in the sweet spot vs choosing between screaming it or lugging the **** out of it.. neither really help mpg

Sure..
basically everything that have been swapped out for international on the FL60 is coming off the fl70 truck..
As for how much of the frieghtliner dash I use.. IDK.. I've been chewing the idea of building a custom one either with auto meter guages or racepak IQ3S dash.
There is no engine data plate on the dt466 plan on taking it to international so they can at least pull the info off the ECM, definitely help in selling it... mainly year and HP rating
Most likely have both the RT-8609 and the T8607B transmission to send down the road.. both are non-OD.
the 7sp is extremely tight on the shifts and has a pto on it.
the 9sp needs the pivot tower replaced. Probably some other stuff but haven't gotten that far.
Reman RTLO 13 is ~4500.00
gear swap for the RS-15 is ~2500 IDK if they still have the 3.08 gear still available.. but that would allow me to run 33" tires or the 11R22.5, and direct drive until I got funds for 13sp and new drive shaft

Let me know, I might be interested in a truck like that. Using the cooling package as well?

Most likely.. my guess is the radiator for the 8.3 is bigger than what came with the 3126.. the bigger of the two will stay if it fits and the ther it will go with the fl70

Still can't believe someone went to all that work to put that POS engine in. That would be like you pulling your Dmax and dropping in a 6.2 Diesel. Don't get me wrong the 3126 isn't an awesome engine but damn. Usually an engine swap is an upgrade but nothing about a 466 is an improvement.

We had a sterling come in that they had pulled the Mercedes out and put in an ISC. That at least made sense.

I couldn't imagine trying to make a working cruise control on an old 8.3L...That's why I swapped to an electronic 5.9L.
That being said, we've been working on CAPS ISC/QSC for 17 years now, and I couldn't use one of those damn things in a truck...they are dead nuts reliable, then all of a sudden, DEAD. Couple thousand later, reliable again.
We have a 2006 Freightliner M2 with the OM906 Merc, 230hp...and that is honestly the only thing good about the truck, we haven't had the first engine problem at all. The rest of the chassis and cab, JUNK. Falling apart after 110K miles, and has had an ABS light on since it was 6 months old. Costs us about $2500 average a year at Freightliner for assorted electrical problems or brake headaches, then the ABS light is off for a couple weeks, and back on until it goes to Freightliner again.
We've decided our next medium duty truck will probably be an older Class 8 cut down, at least then, anyone can work on it.
Good luck with your swap, should be a good truck once done, but I think you have lots of headaches coming up.
Chris

Another guy that runs hotshot and looking at a mechanical MD setup sent me this..
Semi Truck Cruise Control Systems
The OEM throttle lock isn't really a cruise control item persay..
Between that, the GPS, brake controller, IQ3S dash/guages, CB, will be the most electronic stuff on the truck.. both are non ABS trucks
From what you and other have said about the CAPS fuel system, I wanted to stay away from said engines. Which meant either mechanical or the ISL 9 with the ISX fuel system on them which is $$$$$
Definitely agree there while be headaches on getting the stuff swapped.. once done should be pretty solid setup

Pump plate info.. no clue how to read that.. 160/180/215????l
Engine serial number is 44843226
Component part # s01-22436-000
275HP@1800rpm
11° timing
Is That enough info to figure out compression ratio, injector size? In frame options?
Once batteries where charged. Engine fires extremely quickly in 25° temp. no cold weather starting aid, does have block heater.. it work? IDK... wasn't used.
Logical reasoning... quick fire in cold weather means compression is good and fuel system is good.. throttle response is rather quick too....do plan on pulling injectors and doing a compression test.. what's spec?
The adapter from front cover to air compressor is broken.
Low coolant light is on.. haven't done system pressure test yet..Will be done prior to pulling the engine..
Oil looks recently changed. Does ~70psi at idle cold. What's spec?
Should be a data plate on the turbo right?
What's cooling system capacity and oil system capacity? Be good info to have when I go to drain them.
