2017 world diesel finals

Thanks Ken, used to be pleanty chatter here after the race, guess that's in the past. There sure was some great topics and conversations about racing back like 2006 to 2010ish. Where did erry body go, millenniums don't do forums?, lol

The NHRDA site does not seem to have the results up yet... I've checked a few times... I don't have time to watch the videos.

I heard from Dustin Jackson that he won the event, and championship and set a new record for ET at 8.09!!!

Pretty impressive in my opinion!!! We are running a feature on his truck in the upcoming issue of Ultimate Diesel Builder's Guide magazine, it's scheduled to go on sale 10.31.17, but lately they seem to hit the newsstands a little early...

Usually I go every spring, and again in the fall for the finals... But didn't make it this fall. Didn't even get a chance to watch the live stream, dangit.
Anybody know how Phillip Franklin came out ? I know he's been really making a name this year.

I tried to view results on the site, was only seeing 2013. Just odd there's no chatter on here about it

The World Finals crowd was definitely down in the numbers. I took my 2 boys to watch a little, but they kept taking extended breaks it seemed like.

Scheid won Top Diesel
Jared V./G&J Willys won ProStock (Red Light staging problem in other lane)
Dustin J won ProStreet (Firepunk Broke)
Phillip P. won Super Street (Close race with Chris B. both went mid 9's in the final, both went much faster in earlier rounds to make it to the final)
Chris P. was in the final for 10.90, I can't remember if he won or not.
Wayne T. won Hotrod Semi (No other competitors)

I can't remember who won 11.90, Sportsman, Big Rig Bracket, show n shine, or burnout contest.

There are several videos on the site click on Diesel TV and go to the awards banquet video, they show all the winners. Also videos on the finals. You are right Ryan not near the chatter or interest there was in the early days. All the events seem to get smaller and smaller. Very expensive to travel all over the country as you know. Diesel racing is not a good spectator sport. Way too slow and so many oil downs at most races. I raced all summer here at home plus trips to Woodburn and Boise. I saw one minor oil down all summer. It a rare diesel event that doesn't have an oil down.

Ryan how are you feeling? The back problems fixed?

Thanks Ken, I am well thank you. Best I've been in 11 years, the Germany double surgery was a huge successful ordeal for me.

I really really enjoyed the diesel scene in the early days, it was fun and challenging. Hate to see it going away but we knew it wouldn't last forever. To many green liberal tarts these days I gues. Man do I miss racing though!!!

Chis Perales won the 10.90 class, Josh Grahmann won 11.90, and Robby Bowermaster won Sportsman.

I lost to Josh G in the 11.90 quarterfinals by breaking out by .08 seconds.
