He's the best.

And I'll take any black dash knobs you can get ahold of.

pass door is done, sorry no pics. it was a mess with rust holes and started to look like a patchwork quilt. it will do for now but I will be on the lookout for another door in the future. moved on to the cab, step and hinge pillars need attention first then cab supports. floor pans are on order. a lot more work than I thought, but I am enjoying it and I can easily say I built it one piece at a time.

had to do a little stone spreading to cover all the mud from this past winter.

Are you going to leave the straight axle or install a Nova, Mustang II, or some other front clip?

lower hinge pocket, step, cab mount, toeboard and most of the fresh air vent are done on the drivers side. I did test fit the door to see if my measurements were correct when I removed just about everything structural on that side. gaps are too bad for the first fit.

thanks scott, I am trying. I am dropping the 4b head off at the machine shop today to be checked and cleaned. figured since I decided to do a full rebuild on the engine I may as well get the head checked out. gonna start assembling that this weekend. I am happy with the progress, still a lot of little rusty spots that need cut out and fixed but each one I do is one step closer.

couldn't work on the truck from mid may until june, I fell through a bridge and was fairly sore, then had to get caught up on side jobs. finally got the body work on the cab 90% done, rear lower cab corners and that's it. couldn't get to them until I removed the bed. first time it has been off jack stands since I brought it home. hopefully this week/weekend I can push it outside and power wash the frame, mock up where the 4bt and trans will sit and build mounts. then I can box the frame and get painting it with por15. funds are going to slow the progress a bit, but I will keep working at it as I can. once it is outside I can finally clean the bay it has occupied and dropped 59 yrs of rust and dirt on.

Well a 2x6 stopped me. It was a bridge i was building over a creek at my house. Pushed a sheet of plywood out of the way that was covering up where i ran out of boards. Took a step and down i went and fell straight on a 2x6. Hurt to sit down for days and walk for weeks. Wasnt very enjoyable.

I guess that's better than the alternative.

Builds take time for most people. A quick build is actually a rarity. Good luck with yours. Its going to be nice when you're done.
