Same with a voltage clamp. Limits voltage back to the ecm at whatever you set it at. Works flawless but probably not with his super custom Volvo tune.

If boost limit isnt high enough now, wouldnt that indicate that at this time it is not behaving right?

You mean along the lines that an exhaust housing tight enough to spool at 1100 is too small at 2100. Nonsense, maybe on inferior US made stuff.

You see Malibu’s thread where a boost leak increased his fuel mileage? Undersized turbo problems.

Funny you mention low boost/better mpg scenarios, I think Rick is running the factory turbo yet. That is enough to ruin fuel mileage right there.

At least I'm not completely out of my mind, for thinking so..I'm sure too big turbo will be more problematic ...

Yep too big and it’s laggy and surges under load. Turbo sizing is an expensive game to play.

Hence why I have a internally gated turbine housing... Though with enough air n fuel one can exceed that safety cushion.... Current gate cracks open at 25-26# it will do 36-37# with 5*.014 injectors and new CAC... EGTs still same roughly and still spins the crap out of the little guy

Side note.. seams Wilson is only company that will entertain a trailer with basic specs 10+25+5 with 72" spread version of their ad1080 Trailer.... Hopefully end of the year I'll be buying a trailer..

None of the above.

Ok how the hell does that work on a closed tandem? Hard enough to surge axles on a spread to walk a big load on the turnpike. The reason the old skool guys liked the air/spring/air setups.
