Fuel cooler delete

Is it a good idea to by pass the fuel cooler on these trucks seeing as my buddies is starting to leak due to rot

You can do it but I wouldn’t suggest it. The fuel system uses fuel to cool its self and puts a bit of heat into it. Guys have tested larger coolers and seen mileage gains. Now since you live up north it’s not as bad as idea as if you live in the south.
