Truckers, lets see your rigs!

You’ll get 50km to the liter when the euro trucks take over. Imagine how awesome hitting the back of that trailer would be in a cabover Scania. You will most definitely be the first one on scene. Just don’t leave your coffee in the cup holder when you raise your cab.

How often are you supposed to hit the back of the trailer ? OK, it happens but usually drivers survive, because swedish cabs are designed for it. At least you dont have to catch your engine like with US classic crap.

Yes hitting your face on the thing you hit is way better. You euro trash are way ahead of the curve. You never answered last time I asked so I’ll try again. Where is that euro trucking company that was going to take over the US?

How’s Darren doing? I just saw the truck sitting at Reffits yesterday, was told he fell asleep.

He is ok. No he didn't fall asleep met a truck in a curve not 2 mile from his house. Trailer got off the road turned left hard to get it back up on the road but then soft side ditch took him over on the left side.

Don't leave paint marks on the cam gear when you install it 180° out of phase no-one will ever figure out what you did. Lol.

Glad to hear he is doing ok. Hope the other guy stopped.

We had one that ran off time for a while. Pulled the head and reinstalled right but other shop put flywheel on wrong. They crushed the dowel pin on the crank so when it was pinned it was off.

Had the same thing happen 2 months ago. Didn't even think you could do that to the dowel pin but it is possible.

The 3624 CAT I helped overhaul several years back had had the crank replaced a year or two before. I was pulling the flywheel to reseal the rear housing and couldn't figure out why the impact socket wouldn't fit over the heads of the bolts for the spacer between the crank and flywheel.

Turns out, when they installed the flywheel, it was one hole out of phase, and they torqued it on. When we looked at the back of the flywheel, the heads of the bolts were all perfectly stamped.

It’ll buff out.

I’ve often wondered what the rest of the motor looks like when the turbo is in that kind of shape.

This is how they left it.. and what I left.. put a 362/74 on it call it good turbo wise.... Haven't bother to find out if it spins.. yet.. was told they parked it after it over heated.. possible warped head... Been sitting for 5+ years.
