A controller/ gauge that shows the commanded gear and lock up like the dash board does would be nice.

Also I just had an issue with my trans acting really weird when in drive I think the converter was locking and unlocking. **** the truck off a bunch of times just sitting. Got it home and hooked the laptop to my anteater and when i put it drive after a second the od on and lock up turned red and the mph said 168 when the truck shut off. Then I restarted the truck and everything seemed back to normal. Anyone see something like this before?

Direct tune selection is in testing.
The stored last tune was discussed and I don't remember if it made it into beta or not.

The majority of the time that I have this trouble (which is a lot because I test things) is when my remote lost connection while driving.
Check that first.

Second is power and ground. Quite simply put, if the circuit you gave it can't light a halogen head lamp, the Anteater won't like it either.

Ill double check my remote as I did have the pillar pod out the other day. I doubt it was the power as it has been installed for nearly a year and this is the first I've had an issue. It was just odd since it happened after driving for 2 hours straight with no issues

Here's a thought... Trans brake ? Would that even be possible with electronics only ?

I just installed my anteater and comp 2 vb after having them on the shelf for a year . Going from a full manual vb to this changed the entire truck . I'm just running a baseline tune and it's night and day difference . Spinning in third just rolling into it , no flipping switches anymore . I'm More than happy with this product . I'm looking forward to playing with tunes , just need a laptop that's not 100yrs old .

Pretty sure a buddy and I each will be ordering one of these eventually. The dodge pcm just isn't jiving with lockup and overdrive shifting strategy for us.

Hate to squash an idea, but a trans brake in a 8000lb truck isn't a good idea. There are several pro-racers at 4500lb that have tried. All have sheared shafts and there's only one still trying to implement it.

Glad I'm not the only one that thought of it that way.

Yeah, you're right. Especially since my Rig weighs in at 12k.

So on the 2-3 shift under load it seems to hit a neutral and free rev until I let off , once I let off it'll shift . I don't have much throttle travel on my pump so a little pedal input goes a long way . Could it be tv related ?

I ordered the comp 2 vb and installed it the same time as the anteater . I'll call firepunk in the am and see what they think . Doesn't help I had the local trans guy do my Tfod-3 kit a couple years ago and I found the tv linkage disconnected last night . So it looks like he never reinstalled it and I've been running full manual with no tv for last couple years . I wish I would've payed attention .

Increment the governor pressure modifier in the tune by 5 and see if that helps. If not, try upping it again by 5 to match your VB.

Why is there a big range of what the gov pressure needs to be set to? TV position? Or?

How familiar are you with valve bodies?

The hardware regarding a shift and shift timing is infinitely variable. The Anteater has to be able to compensate for that in order to achieve a shift when commanded. This is called Trim in other applications. Electrical trim compensates for Hydro-mechanical inaccuracies.

Not very, as you can imagine.

That's what I thought, just wanted a confirmation. Thanks.
