Cummins. What else?
2009 - 44’ Forest River Work and Play Toy Hauler Travel Trailer RV
Toy Hauler is listed as a 44’ interior space. 20’ in the garage and 24’ in the regular living area
Overall length is 46’, height 11’6”, and max legal width at 102”
- Queen bed in the ‘master’ with cabinets and a TV. Sofa folds into bed and table drops into bed. There is a 4th queen bed in the rear cargo area.
- Trailer has 3 AC units. Unit has no trouble keeping the trailer cool in the Texas summers or warm well below freezing.
o AC unit one Master Bedroom 9,000 BTU with electric Heat
o AC unit 2 (whole trailer ducted) 15,000 BTU with gas furnace
o AC unit 3 (rear bedroom, cargo area) 15,000 BTU heat pump (Heat and Cool)
- 50 Amp service (runs off 30amp 220V just fine)
- Black and Grey Tanks
- 3 Fresh water tanks totaling 115 Gallons
- On board Fueling station – 30 Gallons
- 2 – 30# Propane tanks
- Propane/Electric Fridge/Freezer
- Outdoor Shower
- Includes 2 Spare Tires
- All LED interior lighting
- Powered HD TV antenna
- Tons of E-Track to strap the load down
- 32” flatscreen mounted in rear storage area for back queen or for gathering when weather keeps you inside
- All new 17.5” tires and rims this year, I was tired of dealing with the limitations of 16” tire offerings on a heavy trailer. Stepped up to commercial wheels and tires set me back close to $3000. Now I have no worries towing at 75mph.
- All 3 axles have working brakes
- One piece Aluminum Sheet Roof, no TPO (white plastic stuff)
- Binder with most Owner, Install, and Service/Parts manuals for components
- There are no water leaks, RV has been stored covered and plugged in with dehumidifier (protects wood walls from humidity, peace of mind)
- Hydraulic Leveling all 4 corners!! Sure is nice with a heavy trailer
- No onboard generator. I didn’t want the noise under my bed! I used Honda 7000i fuel injected generator with REMOTE START that I will part with for $3500. Great, quiet, fuel sipping gen with plenty of power. I have never had it run out of fuel in the hottest or coldest night.
- Trailer weighs 12,100lb empty and has a total gross capacity (axle and pin weight) of 24,400lb!! Leaving 12,300lb for cargo and toys, jeeps, ATVs, SxS, motorcycles, whatever. I have never come close to the gross rating even with 5 vehicles and generator in back.
I just returned from Taylor Park Colorado right at 2,000 miles round trip with no issues whatsoever. Unit is ready to go right now, hasn’t been sitting without use.
I purchased this trailer mainly for the cargo size, simply couldn’t find a larger cargo area at the time. This past trip to CO had 2 Side X Sides in the back (Honda Pioneer 1000 and Joyner 1100) plus the generator. Last trip to CO had 1 SxS (Joyner) and 4 ATVs! 2 Grizzlys and 2 Honda 400s plus gen.
Don’t have an immediate need to sell, but I expect less trips next year, I’d rather not have it sit.
I currently pull it with my 2005 Quad Cab Freightliner M2 106 with custom bed air ride, DVD all the fun stuff. Currently for sale as well, $49,500. Prior to purchasing the Freightliner I used my 2011 Ram 3500 single wheel with a high rated rear tire to pull it. 1st trip to CO was with the Ram.
Asking price is $23,500 or best offer. No trades, really not interested in owner financing unless large down payment and fairly short term.
