Injector Size?

Can someone explain how an injector is rated? Let's use a 225cc injector as an example. Is this 225cc per sec, min, hour, per injection? I have been told that it is per "event", but I don't see how this makes any sense...if I had a 1/2 inch diameter plunger (1.27cm) that barrel would need to be 69.9 inch long (177.6cm) in order to hold 225cc of fuel for a single injection. There is no way that much fuel would be injection every injection from a single injector. Someone please explain this!

I'm pretty sure CC rating is per 1000 strokes.

There is no set measurement as all injector manufacturers use different test stands with different test parameters. Not too sure where various manufacturers are pulling their 225cc rating from?

When doing research the key is to ask the manufacturer what a stock injector is vs whatever injector you're looking at under the exact same test parameters.
