Turbo Flow Rates
We need a good tread on the cfm flow rate comparison on the different current available turbos out there on the market.... .
This could be an aid/asset to the folks who are planning a turbo upgrade from stock, or those that are just looking for more air than they currently have....
So lets post up some flow rates.

I had no clue there were that many Turbo's out there. These are all for the dodges right? How many of them actualy use the factory down pipe flange?

CFM means nothing without air temp, MSL and a compressor map. If you really want a good comparison, you'd need to overlay the compressor maps of each.

Are these numbers the turbine side?? Some of these are conflicting with other posts on the same subject if they are compressor dimensions!!

the problem is that i have 3 different ht3b's, all three have different size inducers. when i look for turbos, with my junkyard skillz, i look at the size of the inducer, the exhaust housing size or ar#. the chart is for a general guide line at best. just don't consider it the end all of a guide.

and then there are poeple like me who have no idea whats going on with turbos. what can you expect from like a htb2 64/14. they call it hte killer b2. i am look at turbos for say up to the 400 hp range that tow good.

the HTb2 can support 500hp , iv seen 468 out of one with mild mods on a 12v
there good turbos
i like my steroid its decent too with mild sticks u can tow with it depends on how much hehe

The S400's I've been around have either a 70mm, or 75mm compressor. I've even seen one at 64. Usually, the 70mm ones have a much smaller exhaust side, too!
BTW, those turbos you just posted weren't the ones I was talking about. I was thinking the Silver Bullet was 68mm, but I wasn't sure. I also thought the Pro Street 66 was 66mm. There again, this is all what I was told, never ran anything bigger than a B1 (as a single )

FWIW, I'm beginning to really like the GT42's...VERY simialr to the S400's, but seems to be a lot more housing options available! That and compressor maps are readily available!
So far I've seen/had...GT42's
70mm/1.01 W/G Housing <----- On Joefarmer's rig.
70mm/1.15 W/G Housing <----- $50 Core that needs rebuilt...Top charger in towing twins!
And my GT45R
70mm/1.01 Non-W/G housing Ball bearing! Gonna be made into a 75, or 80mm charger...not sure yet
Also, the S400's can have either an 85mm turbine side, or a 95mm like a B2...IIRC!! At least these are the two I've seen...I'm sure ther are more options!
