hey guys.. got a little problem on my 12v! white smoke on acceleration(up to 1/2 pedal, if i flood the pedal.. it is gray-black smoke(tuned right)

injector 5x020 from DAP with VCO Nozzle from june 2017. do it with these injector but it have do the same with my old 5x016 SAC injector...so i dont think its a injector problem...i have the thin washer under the injector

Smell fuel. so its not water.

i have now a fass 220 with 65psi. but it have do the same with the old stock fuel pump(before upgrade)

have buy the truck 3 year ago with a 215pump with sticking plunger. buy the 180pump at the scrap yard..idk how many years it sit there..(inside a garage) owner said the engine had around 250 000km.

Timing was a 19 when i got the 5x016. so i bumped it to 22* no change...white smoke on acceleration too.. same at 14-15*.(have not try to change the timing since i got the 5x020, but i do't think it would change anything.. maybe bump the timing again would resolve the problem but not tried )

valve lash is good. adjusted twice last summer after retorque the head. head is good(rebuild 1 1/2 years ago with orings and arp stud)

what can cause this..? injection pump..? maybe a cylinder low on compression.. but truck is running smooth and had power..!

Tanks alot guys!

Sounds like it needs more timing still. Try popping the pump gear loose and turning the engine counterclockwise (dampener rotates up on the driver's side and down on the passenger side of the block) 1/4" to 1/2". This will give you an additional 6 to 12 degree advance vs. your current position witch may or may not be 22*.

that what i think too.. will bump the timing next summer and see what it does.

i have time it with the indicator(plunger lift)..supposed to be ok. but i know there a marge of error(not very accurate) with the indicator method.

tanks alot! :thankyou2:
