My water pump is leaking after 367,000 miles. I have heard folks using 6.7 pumps on a 5.9. What should I replace it with?

Both pumps work. The 6.7 pump flows more, but can cause issues at higher RPM without a coolant bypass. If you're stock, and haven't had overheating issues, use the 5.9.
If your stock, and DO have overheating issues, try the 6.7 pump.
If your 5.9 is high performance/ high RPM, stick with the 5.9 pump.

Which ever one you decide, definitely get the OEM Cummins pump. You'll be happy you did.

Have you tried a Gates brand? That's all we run once the OEM Cummins pump weeps coolant.

Second gen 5.9 right. Third gen 5.9 middle. 6.7 left.
