Hook it and try. The rearend is the weak link in the 2wds especially yours since its a D70. Not sure how well the auto would like it either. Give more info on your setup.

If its stock its a 70 under it. 2500 auto were all 70's from the factory if i remember right.

dazed is correct, its a 70. im lookin for an 80 with the same gears. and i would really like discs in the back. turbo wise im lookin at either a 64/71 or a 66/71. obviously tires will be an issue so im gonna see if my buddy would let me throw em on. i got about a year left on my trans warranty so we'll see, shop said every puller truck he does runs the same trans i got installed. but it was been actin up after it being in for about 2 months, i was pullin a light load and it would lock, unlock, lock, unlock and so on. gave him a call i was pissed he said it was electrical issue, im hopin my lock up switch wont void anything lol. i plan on 4k gsk valve springs and studs with oringed head. any of you guys rollin up to byron illinois for the diesel black out?
