Help! Foot Throttle on Ag Gov injection pump?

My pulling organization will not allow hand throttles because they add magic "POWER" . On Ag governor injection pumps. Was curious if anyone has ever ran a foot throttle on their ag pumps . I have a couple things in mind but before I even got started on this project I was looking for anyone that has done this before. Any input would be great. Thanks for looking!:

Its not that bad, we've got a 2.5 truck running one and I ran one years ago. Just be prepared to push a good bit harder.

Sure, a lot depends on turbo rules. 2.5 rules vary quite abit across the country.

Defiantly gotta push hard! Takes a long time to get the RPM's up too but it works. Defiantly not as controllable as a hand throttle.

That's what I was afraid of but I'll live with it for local pulls and then out of state I'll use a hand throttle.

It feels like your putting your foot in a pail of cement that is 3/4 of the way set up

If you extend the arm on the pump you gain mechanical advantage over the spring and the peddle is nice and easy. I have run one for years. I made linkage out of steel rods and used the factory peddle.

That's my plan, I already have the steel linkage there with my handle

We ran one for years on our puller. Easiest way if found was to use a threaded 3/8 rod and get a turnbuckle from farm and fleet with a hook end and rod end. This way you can adjust it so it is just right when you have the foot on the floor.
