Deranged hates me.

I swear this fukker is out to kill me. The First master cylinder I bought blew out the seals immediately, obviously a bad core. Today I drove all over the place, and finally found one 20 miles north of Austin. Drove up there, spent all day refitting it, bled the brakes, the hole enchilada. Got it all set, and #$@%.

Looks like I'll try again tomorrow.

There is something else wrong in that brake system, Tim.

1. Too much travel on the rod.

2. Un-even panel mounting

3. Piston seal is holding, pushing against fluid that wont move, then your foot causes this.

May help if you describe the entire brake system from pedal to all 4 rotors. Leave nothing out.

And send me $5.

85 Ranger Master cylinder. UPR sells it as a Mustang manual brake conversion. The MS broke when I was tightening it down. It never got pushed.....ever...... DOH. Front everything is stock. Rears go through a proportioning valve, then to the reap Willwood 4 piston calipers via the existing stock lines. The bore is 15/16ths, I have -3 fittings off of the MS with 12" braided lines to the proportioning valve. Check is in the mail Roachie.

Is the mounting surface for the master cylinder 100% flat? Are the holes to mount it well centered? I.E., bolts are not cocked in the holes while tightening?

Yeah, I am thinking that someone dropped it at the parts store. The box looked 100 years old. There was no fit problem at all, and its the exact same as the first MS that I put on from UPR. Its no biggie, I have another here this morning. GOtta go to work tonight though.
