And its gonna go here... 4bt Coolant Question
My 4bt is loosing coolant.....dont know where tho. Its not outside of the block and its not in the oil. Only thing i can think of, is its going into the combustion chamber and up the stack... Possible???

Cracked head unless it has a water cooled turbo.

ssshhhh. i dont wanna hear that. ive already had to replace the head once. two of the boss's that the exhaust manifold bolts to broke off. thought about welding it, but decided it'd put too much heat to everything that warp it all up.

They like to crack from the injector bore outwards. Especially if you have 9mm injectors. I abused my 4bt pretty hard and I attribute most of my gasket failures to water/meth usage.

I attribute mine to excessive fuel, and mismatched turbos...

external yes, internal into the combustion chamber, not usually. Mine would usually only leak when I was under high load high boost conditions.

kind of an update... i let it run for a little over an hour last night with the tester on. Didn't drop in pressure one bit. Now, I'm not too sure but here is one idea of wtf went on when i lost all my coolant...
1. thermostat stuck closed
2. engine over heated.
3. when thermostat finally opens, caused it to go by the blow by in the radiator cap (no catch can)
4. Thermostat is stuck open now. I ran is for about an hour driving it with changing driving habits(low load low boost to high load high boost). The engine didnt heat up nor did i have any heat.
Does that make any sense?

Put a catch can on it and see what it does.

Here's how ya do it...
Things you'll need:
MT Dew Bottle
Rubber Hose
Male end of an air hose
Drill
Hose Clamp
Zip Tie
Whiskey
Impact Gun
Step 1.
Empty Mt Dew into glass, set mt dew aside.
Step 2.
Drill hole just smaller than air hose fitting.
Step 3.
Push hose fitting up tight to the hole, rat-a-tat-tat with the impact.
Step 4.
Push rubber hose onto air hose fitting and tighten down with hose clamp.
Step 5.
Zip tie Mt Dew bottle to whatever you can find within reach of your hose.
Step 6.
Pour whiskey into mt dew. 90 parts whiskey to 10 parts Mt. Dew.
Step 7.
Do absolutly nothing for th rest of the night!
