Well, last week I blew up my low pressure turbo, so I bought a bunch of turbo parts and they arrived Wednesday, and my buddy's shop fabbed it all up on Wednesday/Thursday, and we got it all done!

something to mention, is I street drive this truck a lot... I drive it to events hundreds of miles away...

so I pulled into the event, put my slicks on, and here's the first pass:

So after this race, I decide that the truck needs more fuel, and that this is what she's gonna do for the weekend. Time to do some tuning, and go back!

Fun Facts:

Garret GT4294 high pressure turbo
S400SX-E 88mm low pressure turbo
80psi boost / 80psi drive pressure
1600 EGT was highest I saw all weekend
1.57 60 ft times!

Agreed. You can see a little wrap in the second video, but nothing the fatties on the back cant situation.

Think this is the first 488sxe with results I've seen. Whats your goal for the truck?
 
Yeah, I think there is plenty of more air to be fueled!

I'm surprised how well this thing hooks!

I like this S400SXE, I don't really have any real goals except keep it reliable and keep having fun
 
Cool truck! Spools awesome too. All-around goodness, and it looks like it has "more left in it".....
 
Great video's and time slips. I did notice that you're running the manifold wastegate vented to atmosphere. This is great for BIG HP setups that also spray nitrous and need a way to relieve drive pressure. On your truck, I'll bet you'd see a noticeable bump in HP, ET Reduction, and higher MPH from routing that wastegate pipe into the hot pipe between the SXE488 and the GT42. This will slow down the GT42 a little more to keep it happy, and speed up the SXE488 for more POWER!!!
 
Like everyone has said, nice running truck! What's the current fueling setup on it now? Maybe I missed it is there nitrous on the truck?

vs the silverado, I was waiting for more boost at the line, so he got R/T on me, but I got faster time & speed. He just got there first.

I don't have a hood on there, because this was put together over 2 days, in preparation for the event, and I just ran out of time. Used to have bed exit exhaust. I wanted to ensure I was not screwing myself by doing that, and I wanted the least restrictions, so I did this for now.

BigBlue24, that's good info. I have seen that done, just wasn't sure. I may just give it a try and see!


blackmega3500, yeah, plates are good! Also, it's a permanant plate! hehe. ;)

92dak_r6, it's a 13mm pump, and some injectors that Lenny Reed did for it (on the small side on purpose until we got #s out of it)... now it's going to go get the injectors resized, and we'll see what she'll do in a few weekends!
 
Hey Eric, where are the wheels on your truck from? Kipp was saying they were 9" back spaced 8 lug steel wheels. Not sure if you know or if I should try asking SDNW

They were custom made. Darin Honodel had them built back in the early 2000's.... He said it took 3 wheels to make each one, from what I remember.

I have a set for slicks, and a set for street tires. If there are measurements I can do to help you out, just let me know. :)

Stock width rear axle and spring under on the truck? I forgot to check out the suspension at alligator last year
