injector pump 2940

my dad's 29 died yesterday , no fuel anybody no any thing about this pump looks like a rotory pump syle but no sure were do you set the motor at to take it off top dead center on the motor then were on the pump. looking for any info thanks.

Does it have a kill cable, or does it shut off with the key? If it shuts off with the key there should be a single wire that comes into the top of the pump. Make sure that has power with the key on.

If you do decide to take the pump off, just shut the fuel off, take off the little side cover on the pump and roll the engine until the timing marks line up. Then just simply tie the throttle lever back into the full throttle position and remove the pump.
