Need help! my 97 stalled in the middle of the road.

Hey guys. I have been having a really hard time starting my truck lately and i was driving it today and it died in the middle of the road. I pulled over and my #4 relay under the hood was clicking non-stop. I also noticed that the ring in the bowl was broken. I put a ts chip on it about a month ago and have been having problems with it cutting in and out. I tried putting in another relay in the same spot but it clicked the same. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks

The ring in the fuel bowl is the heater element. If it touches the side of the bowl, it will short and the truck will not start. I bet that's what the clicking is. Try unplugging the heater element and see what happens. You really don't need it.
