were suppose to be over there tdy in the next several months ill be coming out of red river army depot

Thats ugly country right there. Be careful, my friend. Im at Kandahar waiting to leave country. I was based out of Leatherneck but visited all those wonderful places that the marines were staying.
 
I was with 4th Eng Bat with the army. We worked with 1st CEB and then 2CEB. And Zad was our worse route to run through the desert, lots of small arms and ieds
 
LOL Yeah its like that here. I am here with a few from 2nd CEB
 
Yeah its pretty bad down there. I hope you guys have better luck than 1st CEB, cause they had lots of injuries. So keep your head down and be carefull. I cant wait till I leave this country in the next week.:woohoo:

Yeah NowZad was Indian Country when I was there last year. I was the unit that built the runway expanse at Bastion and lived on Leatherneck when it was only LSA1. I did get to go to Kandahar and could not believe how good they have it! They don't even know how good they got it.

Who you with? Can't remember right now who all is there... we(3/5) get to come play this fall. Sounds like Helmand for us though.
 
I have a friend who just left Afghanistan, he's with the Marines, not sure what unit or anything, he works on airplanes, he's back at Camp P now. I heard the chit's gonna fly soon. Good Speed and y'all stay safe.

the army gets to come play too. 1st brigade of the 101st will be coming to play sometime around late april. 2/327th 101st
 
good luck to all headed to the stan. Im glad to be out of that hellhole. Anyone that is headed to Helmand, hold on to your seats and stay low. That place is really hot and we had a wonderful time there.
 
I am at Kandahar right now and it's not so bad here. Every few days we get a rocket attack or two. Just have to hit the deck and hope for the best. Oh yeah, I am attached to the 451st ECS.
 
Yeah, gotta hate those rocket attacks at KAF. Kandahar is a nice easy cushy place compared to everywhere else in southern afghanistan. Any place that I can be deployed and still pick up TGI Friday's is not that bad for deployment.

Sry, I just hate Kandahar after seeing how easy it is for people living there.
 
It maybe easy livin for others but where we are and the Army and Marines we just have to suck it up. Oh, and by the way General McCrystal has made the decidion to close all resturaunts on base do to his thought of our troops not having there head in the game. Like I dream about fast food. That is a load of crap. I could go forever without eating that stuff.
One last thing. The choice of others to join the hard core and think they are bullet proof just goes to show you we need spartins to win. I use to think like that then, but now I have seen the light on how to defeat with the mind and not with my body on the front lines. So, thank you for what you do.
