Injector Removal

Do I need a special tool to do this or no? I know you take off the cover then pull rockers. Then the wiring and whatnot....Is there a special tool to remove them from there?

Also....I would think I wouldn't need to find TDC right? I mean I am tearing the darn thing down so it's pretty much pointless until I put it back together am I correct?....Now with that asked if I don't have to find TDC then what about my CP3 pump...I know the 1 and 2nd gen models the pump was timed too....Now that mine is electronic do I need to find the timing in it to or no? Is that ran off the crank sensor?

Anyways alright then...Well I guess tomorrow I will break her down all the way....If I have any more questions I will post them.

Well being that I am removing my injectors and doubling the size of them and getting my bodies modified...AND it's going to be doing some competitions around my area and this is the competition vehicle build tech I figured I would ask a simple question. This is my first time actually doing this because I want to learn so yeah. Since when did you give a $hit?

Another thing, I also am new to this forum if you couldn't tell with the 80 something posts. It was just a simple question

This area was started recently for a specific purpose. Not for an injector swap. If you're going to cry about it, I'll make it easy for you. Don't worry, I know it's difficult for many to read nowadays. Our schooling system kind of sucks..

I am not swapping anything but whatever. And I am not crying about anything. It's whenever I ask something very simple because i don't know that some other person has to chime in with a smart comment for some reason there always has to be one of those guys that always has to be a smart a$$....Really there is no need for it....And another thing like I said I am somewhat new to this and I hardly used this forum. This was the first place I seen so I figured I would go here. Anywho I am dropping it because thats not why I am here....

But anyways, thanks guys....Wanted to make sure because my manual says I need some special tools and if I did need something I was gonna have to go find one....Thanks again

if you don't like nonsense, you're on the wrong forum! LOL we like to have a good time, and a little trash talk is an everyday thing

sit back and read and dont' be affraid to ask questions, but don't be affraid to use the search function, and don't run away if people make jokes... this really is the best diesel forum on the net

Was gonna get the injectors and whatno removed tonight but with the holiday it kind of ruined it. Anyways, rather than this be "hey let me show what how I am doing this thread" just send me a PM if there is anything I should know.

BTW I pulled the cab because it only takes like 10 minutes to pull the motor after that anyways...lol...
