NADM 2.6 rules phone poll results

Easy there killer, there is a bit more to it than just declaring it so, or having a large number of trucks.

All im saying is, the nadm east coast nationals don't bring in the "national" level trucks that Scheid's pull does.

It doesnt matter, put a restrictor tube on those trucks, youll still be 10' behind instead of 30'. I think alot of guys that are *****ing about the rules arnt complaining because its whats right or what needs to happen...they just cant hang with whats out there right now, and they see this as a way to bring the class down to there level where it might be easier to compete. Hell I got waxed anytime I ran with alot of the top 2.6 but you dont hear me complaining. Change the rules for the right reasons, not because you cant keep up.$.02

no no no no no you just start multiple threads about the same thing complaining about the rules.:charger:

You get the point, no need to answer. If you can't keep it together with a 2.8 why drop to 2.6 then get right back to the same power level? When you guys have this class played out what's next?. Oh yeah I forgot it's work stock, where you are trying to push everyone else to.

You inferred that the reason people are breaking the drivelines is cause they don't know how to set the trucks up.
Kevin you act like all of the 2.6 trucks are 2.8 reject trucks. I pulled in 2.8 because that was the only class around here. I also pulled years ago with a 66mm in a class with 2.8 turbos, because that was the only class for me to pull in. Guess what? 2.8 is pretty much dead not because the participants killed it, because the drivelines couldn't handle it. I think some of the places didn't have a 3.0 class for 2.8 to jump to, they had unlimited single classes etc. So why should the 2.8 guys have to jump to an unlimited single?

"pro" is a nice adjective! LOL

I know the gasser guys use some terminology that would be sacrilegious. Prostreet and prostock. Isn't prostock an oxygene...oops I mean oxymoron.:shake:

So the drive line couldn't handle the 2.8 trucks. What is going to be any different now in 2.6 class? Why didn't the 2.8 guys push for a UNIFIED set of rules and a class that works for them?

They did, its called 2.6.

Who says the 2.6 protrusion chargers are going to make 1200+HP?

The second is an interesting question. Probably because the only thing that the 2.8 guys could have done was put in a big rearend. Which Indiana truck pullers did allow big rear ends this last year.

Who says you made 1200 when you tore your truck up?

No one did, I didn't realize I was the one who dropped/killed the 2.8 class. You think that the incident at scheid is why I put a 2.6 charger on my truck? LOL!

The incident at scheid was a result of poorly designed ladder bars by yours truly!

I seem to recall writing sizable checks to guys Like Kent Crowder, Curt Haisley, Calvin Miller, Jeremy Denson, Jake Carter... the list goes on.
But I'll be sure to tell them they are not national level trucks next year.
That show is only two years old.
I know of no other event that was as big as the East Coast Nats the first time out of the box, or even close the second year.

Are we shy some Illinois and more western trucks? Of course, but we make up for it with the eastern trucks that can't make it to the western shows.

If you ask me, the midwest trucks that dont come to the East Coast nats are just plain chicken, as good as they are, the national level purse should be easy pickens, right?:hehe::hehe:

Does that mean tube chassis is coming to "street class"? LOL

Dont laugh, there is Ohio guys who want a full blown Mod puller with a 2.6 charger, I **** you not.

Better leave street in the name.

I do believe the class was originally intended to be for hot street driven trucks.

Who gives a flying flip what it was intended for 5+ years ago?

There's a ton of you stuck in the dark ages hanging on to some romantic vision of the past.

The classes are all evolving. So Kev, how about you get your truck tuned up for 2.6 and stop all the carryin' on....

The work stock trucks are already on your heels, man.

WS = 600
2.6 = 850
3.0 = 1200

Someone please tell me what the problem is, again?

Sorry Gene, my comment was tongue in cheek.

But seriously, the 2.6 class has got to the point it has because of a natural progression of a motorsport. The top 2.8 guys could not keep driveline in their trucks 2-3 yrs. ago. As the rest of the class caught up to that power level they were all breaking constantly. Some chose to go up to open driveline, some chose to drop to 2.6 to try to minimize breakage. Now, natural progression or bleed down of technology has brought the 2.6 class to where the 2.8 class was.

Stock trucks are getting killed in WS
2.6 trucks that make 700 HP are getting killed in 2.6
3.0 trucks that make 1000 Hp are getting killed in 3.0

So, go big, go down or go home, but nobody is going to keep changing rules or adding classes so the losers can have happy shiny feelings about themselves.

I think you guys need a shrink, not a pulling truck!!!!!:soap::soap::soap::soap::shake::shake::hehe:

Even those numbers are conservative.

Agreed. Protrusion chargers may neck it back a hair.

Why are all these folks having fits with this progression?

Why doesn't it seem that any of these guys wants to promote work stock? Seems many are avoiding it like the plague for some reason...

Or sell the pulling truck, put together some organization and try to promote pulling, has worked for some. LOL

There was nothing to drop to when I quit, I went virtually stock, to Mod because of an H3 35 set up, back to SS, then back to 2.8, bushed. If Id have know the thing was going to run 7 years with out a tear down, I would have kept it, and been schooling these clowns in 2.6!!!!:lolly:
