I find it odd that the OP hasn't been back on this thread to give a rebuttal to Gene's side of the story.

It's also tiring hearing 2Tone continually grinding his axe. The longer it goes on, the less credible it seems.
 
I haven't been responding back because Gene can say whatever he wants, he thinks that just because HE said it then it MUST be true!

also the thread has gone in a different direction, I probably didn't explain myself good enough. it wasn't about the AMOUNT of the payout, it was the fact that NADM cut the payout then pointed the finger and blamed the sponsor to make themselves look better about it.

I'm not going to debate the topic to no end. I put out the information I have and you are all fully capable of coming to your own conclusions. If you think Gene is being honest then so be it, I'm not going to get all butt hurt over it.

Answer this direct question - WHO from NADM told you specifically that the Sponsor X cut the payout?

50/50- no one said anything to make anyone else look good or bad, When a sponsor takes the title for an event, they need to cover the cost. (wasn't even close)The track and expenses are pretty well fixed- they are high where that event took place.



I think you have blown the simple truth out of proportion.

Like I said before, an apology goes a long way, we are sorry you misunderstood.

I apologize for getting in the middle of things. Next time a level head and a private email to Chuck will yield better results.

LOL whatever. Anything I have said isn't for you to hate nadm or like me. Its for when you hear some of the things being said you will have an idea about things. I don't need u to think I'm credible. My points became very clear with a no reply and others saying they have also been told that story. Funny how they reply to everything but what I asked huh? Who doesn't look so credible now???
Comments like yours is what creates more action.
 
Is it true that the OP was DQ'ed for cheating at a NADM event? If so it seems like much more likely an axe to grind thread.

I wish we got a 1000 payout for only 8 trucks in the 2.6 class...lol we get 300 for a win in cotpc with 40-60 trucks...lol
 
i got one better , how about a 150dollar pay out with 68 trucks in 1 class.............thats NHRDA..diesel nats...englishtown nj....:bang

Most NHRDA events don't offer payouts at all, most are contingency payouts from sponsors only. You don't have to worry about truck count and they actually pay pretty well. Pretty easy to get 10 sponsors, that's $1000 to win $500 for second and $250 for third. Some pay just for running their decal. We use magnetic boards and mount the decals on that and put them on the sides of the truck at the race, works great. One of the guys I race with more than paid for all his fuel and travel many thousands of miles to race in three different divisions to race. As Jeff said anyone who diesel drag races for the money is smoking some good chit.:D

I agree grinding on either organization doesn't do anyone any good. We have to work together or all of us will be racing gassers in the future.
