I want to give a big thank you to Jim Layton for letting me drive his truck in Super Diesel at Indy. His truck was at Idaho Rob's in Boise getting converted from a box tuner to EFI live and he got in touch with me knowing I was looking for a truck to drive at Indy. He told me if I'd drive it back to Indy that I could race it. I jumped at the chance and obviously we did very well. Thanks again Jim and looks like I'll see you in Brainerd on the 30th. :thankyou2:

Yup, that Jim Layden is a great guy, even if Ken misspells his last name ;)

Jim let me run his truck at the 1st $25k race in Florida, it was a lot of fun and Jim is a great friend.

That was my mistake, I gave Ken the spelling. Sorry Ken and Jim.
 
You still can't cut a light though :doh:

Not always but was good enough last weekend. I had three in the .1 range and one that was .2 and another that was .7, that was the fellow who timed out on me. To get a .0xx on a .4 pro tree is tough, I've done it twice and my foot slipped both times.:D

You know Greg, you are the tallest Mexican I believe I've ever seen.:poke: Great finally meeting you looking forward to seeing you again in Texas. If you were not such a rock head you would move down a class and race your truck in a more competitive class.

I did call Rob to get the correct spelling of Jim's last name, he'll forgive me I'm sure. Randy still calls me Flores and I've corrected him a dozen times. Headed to Brainerd for the race on the 30th. Hopefully I'll get to race Jim in the 11.90 class.

Jim is one of the first I raced in the 12.0 class. One of the most exciting races I ever had because it was the Lucky Dog I was up against. Likely nothing to him but, I could believe I was running in the same class.

The next time we lined up..... I looked over in staging and the man was going through his time slips with a calculator. I then knew I was in for trouble !

Here's a blast from your past Jim. Unbelievable that you drove this truck to every event... raced it and then drove it home. You are the man !

Jim - thanks again for letting me run your truck in FL!

That vid brings back memories, that was one of my favorite trucks if nothing else for its sleeper status (and the fact that Jim drove it everywhere)!

Ken - just so you know, even with a single charger on it the truck was capable of 0.01x lights down in FL. Were you running a delay box? ;)

I'm assuming that was a .5 tree:evil, and yes, I ran a delay box, ME:D
 
Nope, 0.400 (actually 0.370) tree!
Then you sneezed and your foot slipped.:eek: I know how much you love to deep stage, that one must have been really deep.:poke: Best .4 light I ever saw was Rob's in Texas against Team Green. Was a .03 something.
