i am looking for suggestions for delivery valves for my pump. any suggestions welcome

street driven mostly, some track and some pulls, looking for most efficient power, goal is 600+

probably try a set of weston's 7mm DV's, although you could make 600 with some 181's

ive havent yet been abled to spool my s480. i can only make 55psi i know alot has to do with the restrictive he351. but i thought a nice set of dvs will help

I made 700 HP with DDP 042/024 DV's with a 160 pump and an He351 twin setup. Those DV's are quite a bit less aggressive than 7mm comp DV's.

I'll bet your setup would greatly benefit from more lift pump feed pressure and nice set of moderate delivery valves, something close to 191's or DDP 042's.

i havent gotten a fuel pressure guage yet, but, i have turned up the pressure on the lift pump higher than i comes stock, i am thinking in the neighborhood of 45 psi. when i make it the the shop to get the hose made i will crank it up to 60psi.

Big Blue24V, on the subject of lift pump pressure, how long should I try and milk my stock pump? I'm planning on upgrading the lines running to the pump (1/2 ID stuff), installing a nicer fuel filter setup.

Right now my goal is 500, I'm still planning on trying some DV's from you, just dont know if I am shooting myself in the foot with the stock lift pump at that power level.

I know Jason picked up some serious power by just adding a pusher pump.

The 7mm untouched are rather mild, yet produce good power while still offering more top end fuel than the 024 or 191.

I would watch as my Air Dog would not keep up with my setup. If you plan on spinning higher RPM for longer than 3 seconds you will need a low micron filter. With a CAT 2 micron filter I can pull my A1000 down to 3 psi from 87psi, a CAT 10 micron will pull down to 6 psi from 68. I now have a 100 mic filter on and it stays over 35 at WOP.

I love the 100cc units from Weston. I am running 18* of timing, 4K GSK, stock lines and 5x14 injectors. The DV's added power via the butt dyno but no extra smoke all the way through the RPM range

I vote DDP "042" DV's. Installed mine last week after much research. Made a huge difference over the stockers. Very easy to drive with no smoke at all without a fuel plate. Tuneable and plenty on top.

What'd they do to your EFT's?

You mean EGT? Not a whole lot different from what it was on the top but the cruising temps are down a bit and it is much nicer to drive honestly but that might be more due to the fact I finally got my AFC dialed in better.

IM also new to the cummins 12 valve what are the best delivery valve for a mild built truck 131 or 193 ?
