Largest tow truck on the planet

Wheels dont fall off......... Tires do explode on occasion though. That'll kill you if your near it.

They'll break the frame in half or break a strut before they loose a rim from the hub.

I thought they had two larger models. Sorry. We don't have a whole in the ground large enough to need them here.

Hmmmm nope. The 282 is a diesel electric drive. Cat current is 797F, that's mechanical drive. The 795 is electric drive. Bucyrus had a 400ton electric truck too. But they've been bought out by Cat recently, so I'm not sure where those ones are at. These are the big boys - Ultra class haul trucks. There's none bigger.

I will say, nobody in that shop has a sense of humor unless they get a lawn mower trailer and strap a Tonka truck too it behind this.
 
The bucyrus trucks were the ones I thought were heavier for some reason.
we were supposedly the first dealer world wide that went live with the product integration. I don't get to play with earth moving though. Maybe someday.

Current tire technology doesn't allow for heavier trucks right now.

At albian, he was in a pickup going to fix a shovel, Haul truck didn't hear his radio call that he was crossing the crusher pad, caught his truck with the left side of the 797.

Other broken 797s, and 930e komatsu. We've got a fleet of 200, 400ton haul trucks.

Our original tow truck is a brutally old terex titan with a 16v149 Detroit. It's locked out of all gears but 1st. It's loud, way undersized, and flat out makes 3 mph.
