Thursday is in conjunction with the RiceKiller meet, special guest kind of thing.

So how much money did you end up raising for this Bryant? Pretty cool they got it done so quick. I'm assuming they got some sponsors back home to help out?
 
The main contact is the Hoosier tire rep for all of Thailand.

They stepped up most of the cost.

I'm in it about $2k+ of my own money and 9 months of time LOL

I had a few friends put in about another grand.

The volunteer monetary support was kind of lacking from the US end and not for a lack of trying. However I learned that alot of corporate sponsorship finalizes their budgets for the following year in the fall of the previous.
 
So what's the plan. Are they getting a license to run it for exhibition passes? Is Michael going to drive it in the finals?
 
As mentioned a few times they will be making licensing passes Friday/Saturday

Maybe grudge racing

Will discuss with the team Michael running the truck.

Team is at LAX state side!

Gates open at 6 $10 tech card $2 spectator fee
 
Any news or further opinion from NHRDA if Michael will be allowed to drive the truck and the Thai team will be able to drive too??? There is no reason the same vehicle shouldn't be able to be driven by two different drivers that I can think of...

If the team agrees to letting Michael drive both he and the Thai Driver will be allowed to make passes so long as it is not a major hindrance in time during the event.
 
They'd be hard pressed to find a better wheel man that Michael if they wanna see the truck go some rounds in competition. Too bad their driver doesn't qualify cause I know it would be hard to give his seat up to someone else.
Then again...the thought of a win on the first trip out has probably crossed their minds too.

I totally agree on all points. Michael can drive the heck out of anything. I'd be open to allowing them in the competition with their own driver. No way they could of qualified, and it is the "world" finals.

Maybe take a poll of the pro stock entries. I'd like to see a majority vote, or at the least an open vote so everyone knows who voted which way.

I formally place team Tai as a write in!

How many licensing passes do they need?
they are making 1/8th mile hits thursday, I donst see one issue withthem getting their lic passes done friday, qualify saturday and kill right after that!
But like you said, take it up with the other prostock drivers, I doubt anyone but "that guy"will have an issue with it.
