Common Sense

That was my assumption too...you guys set that up, won't be any of those trucks either? Will there?

This year will be interesting. I think a couple of guys will be back for sure, maybe up to 3. Then add in a couple more that are building and hope to have 5 conistently and 7+ at some events. If PPL changes their rules to ODL for 2.6 I don't think it'll cause those currently hooking 2.6 in NTPA to jump to ODL.

If you open up the rules to allow current 3.0 trucks to drop down to smooth bore 3.0. The rules need opened up in 2.5 to allow 2.6 trucks to drop down aswell. There never needed to be a 2.5 class in the first place.

Wondering the same thing. I feel like that's something that needs to be address instead of being forgot about or us 2.6 guys are still going to have full bodies since that's the rule and all the 3.0 guys that want to drop down will just show up gutted and be allowed to run anyways. I'm not against allowing gutted trucks so you guys can drop down, just needs to be clarified in this rule change so we know what we re allowed to do this winter. Not at the first big events tech..

There are some 2.6 trucks with PPL that are gutted more than some 3.0 s so go with the flow. Also for some of you pullers if you see or know the WB is too long say something instead of letting them run all season

Open rear seems like a good compromise, allowing open drive line is asking for trouble. I don't care to think about how much complaining there would be if a 3.8" truck changed turbos and won 3.0" at an event where they competed in both classes.

Will this new single turbo cut tire class be allowed a tube/aftermarket frame. If it won't be allowed why? They want cut tires since its national level class then why not tube frame to align with the rest of national level truck classes.

Why would they allow tube frames in a stock frame class? So just changing the tires you feel it warrants tube frames? That's a bit ridiculous

Who says it's a stock frame class. They are starting a completely new classes.

Just what I heard. I'm guessing the reason you wouldn't support it is you don't have one. Actually alot cheaper change than what is currently being talked about. You also don't have to run one if you don't want to. Current argument for other rule changes.

So $15k for a bare frame is cheaper then tires and a turbo? Who has a tube chassis that wants to run in 3.0/3.8? I think 90% of your posts are just to stir chit up.

$800 of 4130 tubing. You could even go cheaper with mild steel tubing or even mild steel sheetmetal frame. Not sure how you get $15k

Call and ask anyone who has a tube chassis what they have in it. It sure as hell isn't $800.

Like I said the rule doesn't mean you have to run one. Current changes force everyone to spend money. There is almost as much welding/fab in alot of these stock frame trucks as a tube frame truck so not sure what the big deal would be. Sounds like you should call around if your going to pay someone to do all your work for you.

Be nice if people that dont even pull, especially even in the class they are arguing about would just keep their $.02 out of it.

I don't know of a class that is currently 3.8-4.1 smooth bore with cut tires do you. I pull sometimes have had a problem with breaking blocks. But considering cut tires and a large frame turbo on my truck for open class locally.

I've never had anyone do my work. I just find it funny the ones with the most outlandish wants or "well this should be allowed just because i want to stir chit up" don't run in the classes being talked about and never will. Hell I'm sure your next post will be you wanting billet blocks too.

Then why did you complain about it costing 15k if you do all your own work. Ppl rules affect everyone else in the country. Their goal is to take over all pulling. If you want to hook many places you have to use their rules. So take a look at the big picture instead of what's just good for you.
