Can someone shed real world pros and cons on running super singles instead of standard duals on tandem drives?
Tried them on 2 trucks, was a total waste of money. Not any lighter than LP22.5’s, did not last nearly as long and more expensive. The big weight savings they advertise is if you had 24.5’s with steel wheels and went to 22.5 singles with aluminum. A truck with any HP will destroy the singles fast and you will get stuck on a pile of wet cat chit.
We tried them on the truck and trailers (grain hopper) for weight savings. Ended up almost giving them away. I didn’t even want them on trailer lift axles. Some OTR trucks seem to have better luck but see them quite often sitting on the side of the road with a flat and a ruined wheel. They’re like the 6x2 crap they preach now, one of the trucks we had them on had a dead axle and that was even worse than the one with just the singles.
My advice is to give me half the money you would spend swapping and I’ll kick you in the nuts and you will be better off.
Well, you probably didnt complete the package with lower fairiings, wheelcovers and a turbo wing. Activate your turbo 3000 and you wouldanever needed to hit the fuel island again

Never gonna happen. Over the summer I had my truck shining like a new penny. I put fuel in before I left that day and made a left turn out of my driveway shifted and stepped on it and in about 1 second I completely screwed my wash job. If you forget to put the fuel cap back on the wave of fuel that hits the back of the tank will give Old Faithful a run for its money. I swear in the mirror I saw fuel shoot 10’ in the air and made a huge mess. Now having seen first hand what fuel looks like dripping off everything from the sleeper back there is no way I want all that fuel saving crap on there making my tanks run over all the time.
Found you guys dream truck! Wtf?

Sold on Auction Time with a broken crank. Thankfully.
I found a Versatile with a bad engine a few weeks ago, really thought about buying it and dropping a 12V into, but it brought way too much for me.

No, Danny Evans had it, not sure if he still has it. Wish we had it.

Won the mechanic lottery yesterday. 3 broken manifold studs and they all came out with a screwdriver.
Getting 7/16 arp bolts next time like one of my other trucks.
That’s what happens when it never leaves the barn. LoL
This door is usually reserved for Volvo’s I think.
