Truckers, lets see your rigs!

European logistics companies are going to buy american companies struggling to survive and make them work, like have been done with american truck manufacturers. DSV has already started it.

Hey Leiffi if Euro companies are going to buy struggling American companies, can you explain why the AMERICAN company Paccar bought Euro DAF in 1996? And why did China buy part of Volvo? Seems if anyone is struggling it’s your country. Might want to get your own house in order before you start commenting on our country’s issues.

Ain't nothing misleading about that 14k dollar fine.. a good question is what is the max capable gross on that set up. 120k

Wouldn’t have mattered if it was permitted. They can tear a permit up once a law is broken and make it invalid.

True this.

The part that I find supremely annoying is, the officer “profiled” that rig. His first stated reason for pulling the truck over is knowing that combination often hauls heavy.
If his first stated reason for pulling him over was no federally mandated stickering, no big deal, that is an obvious boo boo on the trucking company/truck owner.
But to pull him over on an assumption that he might be heavy is wrong.
It once again goes to show that a truck driver is typically considered guilty until proven innocent.

With a good lawyer it'll be reduced or thrown out. Brother in law got a good sized ticket for "convoying", was thrown out because the officer didn't actually measure the distance with a laser or tape, was an estimate

Id like to lnow how deep they go on that. Up here thet wouldwrite you for over permit, over axle, over tire rating ect. All seperate tickets. Then tow it from there to impound. Cause somehow its safer towin that weight vs the truck movin itself

Indiana lets the tow company drive the truck to the impound, they also let the county mail you a bill for “civil fines” after the state gets done with you.

Know a guy that ran in a field to miss a wreck. Had 90k on the trailer, state fines was over $5k and he wrote the check. Then a few months later got another bill for like $4-5k more from the county. It’s a racket.

Would any of you have pictures of wrap fenders that lift with the tag axle? We are toying with the idea but the long slide is in the area where we would need mount hardware to be

KS for instance, if you have a permanent so to speak permit for ag like all the belt trailer guys have, if you’re over the permit, they void that permit and instead of only being over the permit, you’re over the 80k law.

No pictures, but I’ve seen just a few.

Good luck getting the brackets to survive. The shock/inertia of the fender moving every time the tire hits a bump kills brackets even faster than frame mounted brackets.
