Aluminum Fabricated diff covers

Like this in Aluminium :poke:

Albeit some fancy welding and spot facing....that is not attractive to me. I'd rather have a billet one machined with some fins.

No fins for him, too hard to polish!

He'd only have to polish the tops. Something like this is what always comes to mind. Then he'd have more time to polish his pud. LOL

I always thought they didn't do aluminum because they don't handle heat as well? I am probably wrong lol

If there is enough heat in a differential such that a billet aluminum cover can't handle the heat....I think there are more problems that "cover design." LOL

I've always wanted extra capacity covers to hold more fluid since I tow heavy a lot but have just never had money to toss at schidt like that.

What I mean is I thought they heated up faster than the cast? Either way I think factory covers do just fine.

Probably so. I've never had a factory one fail while towing 25-35K behind the dually. ;)

You need one with a jackstand machined in the middle of it
