Why is it that the 6.0 threads now all turn into pissing matches? No wonder folks are ditching the 6.0. You guys are getting as bad as the Chevy girls! Heres the thing, if you like whatever system, I love it. The facts are that many different systems work. One WILL be better than the other, but I would bet not by a whole bunch. Its like babysitting a bunch of school girls on Prom night trying to prove whos dress and makeup looks the best. I swear......I need a new hobby!

In reply to the bold, That just could be the winning edge in a race. But besides that EVERYONE HERE WANTS THE BEST!

I think stock trucks with a Fass/Airdog is the way to go. I understand where Rob is coming from with the aftermarket components...but the amount of different combos possible is endless and would be close to impossible to test all the different kind of combinations out there with all the different vendor kits...

As for the fact that the majority of people are not running new injectors...I think the test being geared toward lightly modified trucks is the best idea...afterall, all you guys building up these crazy trucks will most likely figure out the best fuel system working with your combination of performance upgrades anyways lol.

Lets just do what DJ has said...get the vendors involved, get the tests running....then let the results do the talking.

:pop:

Problem is that on the mostly stock trucks I bet all of the fuel systems will have a sufficient supply. You need the bigger sticks to try and drain the systems to really test them and see where the individual systems begin to fall off.

That will show your bang for the buck so people buy what they need and wont outgrow vs. whatever is best advertised or hyped.

I wish someone would have done this a few years ago. I would have gone with a smaller fuel system myself if someone would have had proof that it would support my truck, even with a diesel truck running my fuel pump is obnoxious.

03BlackWidow- the only reason I think that doing a test on a truck with bigger sticks isn't gonna help is....I see too many posts that say "they had to pull the fuel out while they were tuning"

If tuners are pulling fuel out...how's the test gonna help with big sticks?

Hi,

I think there is a misunderstanding here. DJ is more than willing to test with both a stock truck and whatever you guys want to do. That is not the question.

I don't know how many but there are a lot of views. There are 45 yesses and 1 nosies LOL I couldn't help that and my first impression was :shake: but I didn't think it was politically correct.

Unless there are more vendors interested, we don't have anything here. Do you think it will be beneficial to post in other forums? We thought it would be best that you could spread the word.

Of course, 250cc will more complicated and we don't have the manpower to set it up but we are more than willing to take on responsibilities for which we will follow through. We just need more participation.

Thanks,
Vivian

i dont think it matters if there pulling fuel i think the better fuel system would be able to maintain 60psi a wot

Ya - what the hell 900+ views and only 46 people have voted...and I have no idea why that one soul said they would not want to see this tested....

Yeah and only 1 vendor willing to step up to the plate so far.???
Does the other vendors even know about this? Bet its starting to make people wonder what system to buy if there is only 1 vendor willing to step up to a challenge. I hope this fuel challenge does get off.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< IS THE NOSIES.:hehe:

Here's my 2 cents. Stock truck except for 190's...(exhaust/intake acceptabvle)and all the 190's should be new and from the same vendor. THEN...the same tuner should write the same tune for all trucks. This will IMHO address the pressure drop from bigger injectors without the hassle of turbo swaps, etc... Tons of people want 190's but far fewer want 250's or bigger and the hassle that comes with them. Keep it simple and you'll get valuable data about the fuel system alone...not all the other mods. If need be, and I would jump in if I am able to attend, all injectors can be installed at the dyno. Most of us can knock out a full swap in 3 hours give or take. ( I may take longer cause I gotta smoke and drink while I work) LOL

I talked to several vendors about this and it seems no one wants to start waves.

That is :bs: in my opinion...these vendors expect people to pay $500.00+ for their product but are not willing to have tests done on the kits to prove their stuff works because they are afraid to "start waves"...results are results, there should be no waves...sounds to me like people just don't want to lose business when their product doesn't come out on top.

What he said X2

.....like that really suprises me.....But they want us as customers though to buy all that fancy custom originated fuel system stuff. Hmmm.....doesnt look good to me when they arent willing to prove what they sell.

Just my 2cents

It is looking bad,...one of the others needs to pony up.

Or they could lose business regardless.

my only bief with this challege is, I think anyones fuel system with out a new fuel pump will be an improvement over stock on a stock injector trucks. I dont think you will see any differences until you get into aftermarket injectors. I only keep referring to 250's since Dj says his will support 250s. This would be our durabilty test. I think this test is nonsense unless you put a load on the fuel pump

Seems like the best test suggested so far. Testing a fuel system with stock sticks is like testing body armor with a .22 short. Yeah it works, but is it fully tested? Same tuner is a must also.

I dunno. Maybe its just me, but didn't this start out as a challenge to see who's fuel system would make the biggest improvement.....NOT who could support the biggest sticks?
