It might help if people would agree on a track length...I think 1/4 mile is the best show. If I wanted to watch 1/8th mile I'd watch junior dragsters. If you're racing with the hopes and expectations to not break something then you're in the wrong sport, go race canoes.

If you are really into drag racing then 1/8 or 1/4 shouldnt matter, the guys who run the 1/8th push their cars,bikes/trucks just as hard as guys that run 1/8th mile, you may not think its exciting but alot of the breaking and action happens right there in that 660 feet! The rest we just watch the ass end of the vehicle down the track looking at the Board. People complain about everthing :bang thats like me saying I hate watching sled pulling cause its usually only a 1/16th mile :hehe: wheres the fun in that? :hehe:

Most NHRA vehicles are at there top speed at the 1/8th mile, the great thing about watching a shorter race is you get too see everthing happen, poping the chute, slow down EVERYTHING!

Look up the history of drag racing since back then it was all on the street no matter WHAT DISTANCE they ran all out and didnt complain about length.

racing is racing plain and simple :rockwoot:

Btw you know i luv ya bryce

LOL should be a great race these guys put on a awesome event and are good honest people to deal with!

Bryce I'll agree with you there in the trucks we drive we need that 1/4 for some good mph!

Well we are hoping everyone is going to show this time. Tell all your buddies they can run for some money this time and not the fun run. With dropping the entry fee for the ET class we hope to get some of them in this time and start building the sport out there.

Toss me your keys, and I'll see if I can manage. Can't we drag something down the strip? It seems too easy going with just the truck...:shake:

I'll be going but highly doubt my truck will be fixed by then. Might have another than I can run in the ET class.

Looks like the Max'd out truck will be attending along with my 12.0 index truck.

Couple of questions;

NADM Pro street rules state Pro Street:
Heads Up
0.500 pro tree; auto-start will be enabled when available
Diesel Fuel only. Water injection is permitted. Nitrous Oxide prohibited.

...will this be inforced, doesn't matter to me either way, but I think your truck count will be way low with #2 only.

Since this is a NADM race, how about the clean diesel challenge, is that still going on? "Starting in 2009, NADM will offer a “Clean Diesel Challenge” for our competitors at every event"

1/4 mile or 1/8 mile for pro street? Doesn't matter to me, just would like to know before hand so I can set up the truck.

Thanks for ironing these details out before the event.

Pro street is always a 1/8 and that because it's what the racers request. Running the 1/4 is too hard on parts and most would rather race than break. Another reason is to keep the speed down. Many are pushing 130mph as it is and if you were to let everyone run NOS and the 1/4.... the danger is increased. A parachute would be required and many don't have them.

Clean diesel challenge is something fun to do. There's not been enough trucks to sign up for it and previous events so it hasn't really taken off. If at this race enough sign up.... they will have it.

So the Edge event will be 1/8 mile for Pro Street, correct?

What about the N2O rule?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm a pain in the rear, just want to make sure of the rules.

ok, here's the deal. The last Utah event only one pro street truck showed up. NADM hasn't put a lot of thought into the whole thing because of that.

As of right now, the plan is to run a 1/4 mile with any power adders you want.... NOS, water,.... the kitchen sink if necessary.

IF, enough pro streeters show up to race, there will be a meeting with the racers to determine what the majority would like to run.

In other event where people like Garmon, TS, Stuckey, Morrison...etc have raced, it was their request to only run the 1/8 for the reason I gave above.
