    john deere swap

    I have a 1971 fj40 I want to put a 4 cylinder john deere turboed in. How much trouble would this be? I have no clue about the JD engines. I know I could throw a perkins in fairly easy but the cool factor of the JD keeps me leaning that way

    John Deere 4 cyl in a landcruiser

    Hey I am getting a 4 cylinder john deere turbo diesel. I want to put it in a 1971 landcruiser FJ40. Do you know any hints or anything cause I have not been able to find anything. Perkins would be easier but I want a JD powered 40. what tranny and tcase could i get to fit that? :nail:
