    Gtx55 shaft size.

Been hearing some conflicting information. Do the gtx55 and gt55r from garrett share the identical turbine wheel and shaft assembly? Or does the gtx unit now use a larger 9/16" shaft vs 1/2" shaft in the gtr? I'm sure somebody here has some first hand experience. Thanks Sent from my iPhone...

Maximum bore size filled 5.9 block.

What's the largest bore size guys are taking a filled 5.9 12 valve block out to? Thinking of trying a 4.125" bore with a custom Ross piston. Fairly high rpm p pump pulling engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

    Gt55 turbine failure

Wondering if any of the turbo gurus here can offer some insight as to why my new gt55 may have blown up. First hook out on it she only lasted about 10 seconds. It's a custom built unit from a reputable turbo shop with a 94mm 11 blade billet wheel. The turbine wheel broke off the shaft. I was...

    Valve seat profiles

Well I got some seats cut finally. Ended up going with a 5 angle cutter on the intakes and a radius style cutter on the exhausts. I'm happy with how they turned out, will have to see how it runs. Haven't been able to do any flow testing yet.

    Valve seat profiles

Been looking at this profile as well. Thinking this might work better on the intakes with the steep 82 degree throat angle to better transition into the shape of the ports It does still seem to stick mostly to the 15 degree change between angles though

    Valve seat profiles

Recently acquired the tooling to start doing my own valve jobs at home with carbide form tool style tooling. I'm wondering what kinds of profiles guys are running with a 12v cummins head and why. Right now what I'm thinking is using this for the intakes: (going to a 45 degree seat angle)...

    Possible 88mm ETR wheel upgrade?

Just wondering if it would be possible to put this wheel and cover on an out of the box s480/96/1.32 and if it would be a worthwhile upgrade? It's a full blown pull truck so not worried about spool up or anything just looking for the best power on a budget. Thanks

    Custom aluminum 12v runner intake

I have for sale a custom made aluminum intake for a 12v. I built this intake myself this spring for my pull truck. It has billet runners that are cnc machines as two halves and then welded together. Wall thickness is 3/16 on the runners and 1/8 on the 4.5" diameter plenum. It has a 3.5" v band...
