I posted a question the other day, thinking my truck was overfueling. It seems that my torque convertor is staying locked up. I put a scanner on the truck and appears the lockup solenoid is working properly. Could the solenoid still be bad or can a convertor stay mechanically locked up? Thanks.

Yes they can stay locked up. Have you slipped it latley?

If it is the stock converter, I would bet it is bad. After they get slipped they leak internally and stay partially applied

I am not aware that I have slipped it. I bought it with 95k miles and now has 135k miles. I use it to pull my gooseneck flatbed with my pulling truck and around the farm. I don't feel that I abuse it. Looks like I will be calling Goerend in the morning.
