I'm rebuilding my engine. Going with coated flycut Pistons, cam 208 from no limit, pushrods, valve springs, head and main studs, rod bolts. Maxxed 215, 5x16 injectors, 62 over 475. I will port and polish head myself. Now couple questions I have, anyone think I need a girdle or shot peened rods. Where is the cheapest place to get both and prices if you know them. Second what kind of hp could I expect if this is set up properly. Is there anything I should change
Thanks for any and all help or input.

Truck is a 1998 ecsb 12v with a 5 speed. cid:E984AD29-640E-47C1-A00F-B522942278D0

As long as the rods are in good shape you shouldn't have an issue. I don't think a girdle is necessary either. I'd say 700hp should be easily attainable

thank you for your input. Block is at the machine shop now. As soon as it is back ordering all the stuff. Bought the pickup for 4500, block was cracked so gonna do some magic to it.
